The Denomination of Origin "Rías Baixas" belongs to the Western European Atlantic climate. In winter the Gulf Stream makes warm tropical fronts reaching the coast, causing heavy rain and mild temperatures slightly different between day and night.

Spring is early and frost free. Summer is dry, by the influence of the Azores anticyclone, also tempered by the proximity of the sea and the extraordinary protective mountains of "Val do Salnés", making rains scarce in this area compared to the surrounding regions. Autumn is again as mild and rainy as winter.

This unique microclimate produces an individuality that only the vineyards of this region can produce.
